About Pennsylvania Paycheck Calculator
Free, independent paycheck calculators for Pennsylvania from PVV Media Technologies: who we are, how the site is paid for and how the answers are made.
Pennsylvania Paycheck Calculator works out take-home pay for people paid in Pennsylvania: federal income tax, Social Security and Medicare, Pennsylvania’s income and unemployment taxes, and the local earned income tax and local services tax of the municipality where you live and the one where you work. It also lists the local tax rates of every Pennsylvania municipality, and explains how Pennsylvania’s local taxes and Philadelphia’s Wage Tax work.
It is for anyone paid in Pennsylvania who wants to know what will reach their bank account, and for the people who run payroll or check pay stubs for others: small employers, bookkeepers, family members.
Independent
This is not a government website. It is not run by, or linked with, the Internal Revenue Service, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, any municipality or school district, or any tax collector. We use the rules and rates those bodies publish, and we link to them, so that you can check every figure where it comes from.
How the site is paid for
The site has no income. It carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsored pages, and nobody pays us to show or say anything. PVV Media Technologies, which publishes it, pays its costs. That is the position today; if it ever changes, this page will say so first.
The calculators are free to use, with no sign-up. They work out the answers in your browser, so what you type isn’t sent to us; our privacy policy says more, and names the one exception.
How the answers are made
The calculators follow the IRS’s 2026 withholding method, the rules of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and the Department of Labor & Industry, the Department of Community and Economic Development’s register of local tax rates, and the City of Philadelphia’s own rules. Our server and the calculator in your browser use the same rules, and we test them against each other and against the IRS’s own published tables. How we calculate explains each line of the pay stub and lists every figure with its source.
Who we are
The site is written and kept up to date by the Pennsylvania Paycheck Calculator team. It is published by PVV Media Technologies, 102 N 2nd Avenue E, Newton, IA 50208, United States.
